Since I got a lot of friends all over the world and christmas is on its way I had the idea of writing a little entry on how my family celebrates Christmas. I'm sure there are lots of different ways to do it in Germany, but I think it's still a good example for a good old traditional christmas in Germany.

guys, I'm overwhelmed by all your lovely replies and concerns <33

I wanted to post a quick entry telling that I'm back as soon as I got home, but there was a tiny little thing called Misha at VanCon that had to come first XD

So, I'm back for about 7 hours now (LOL) and I'm feeling pretty okay, headache wise.

They didn't find anything wrong at all with my brain and there are no infections in my nervous system. So my headaches are probably tension headaches and will go with time and lots of relaxing. Yeah, cos I can do so much relaxing with final exams and dissertation on my shoulders, but oh well.

Right now my back is killing me, because of that awful "let's poke her spine with an impossible huge needle to find something we don't expect to find anyway". I could have sworn it was just an additional exercise for the students working there. My body didn't help with almost fainting at the first try and we had to do it all over again. ugh. Oh, and my arm is hurting. They pumped a contrast agent through my veines for the MRI - they must have done it with such a pressure that half my veines in my right arm exploded - at least it feels that way.

At least I don't feel the headache anymore LOL

The actual results are less then stellar. Do more sport ( ha ha ha, I'm laughing my ass off.) and don't take any pain meds. Yes, exactly. They explained to me that too much of that stuff can give you headaches. well... I explained to them that I hate taking meds and I only do it if absolutely necessary. They didn't even leave me that. Fuck them. I take them when I feel the need to.

I'm done with them. I will go to the eye doctor in 3 weeks. That one will give me my new glasses and then the whole business is over and we can laugh about it XD

I had constant headaches for about a month now. They weren't bad and I was able to ignore them most of the time. It got a bit worse these last days, so I finally caved and went to see the doctors. She said constant headaches are unusual. And it's not a migraine either. So she gave me pain meds which seemed to be pretty heavy stuff. Well, they didn't work for me. It rather got worse. Yesterday I had 2 really heavy attacks of piercing headaches.

So I went back to the doctors today. Because as much as I hate going to the doctors, right now it's more important that I'm able to write my dissertation. I didn't touch a book for the whole week.

So now the doc told me that the medication she gave me is the strongest stuff they can hand out without monitoring the patient. And it didn't do shit for me. Ooops.

I seem to have earned me a transfer to the Emergency Room later today. Neural scans and shit going to happen. If I'm not back by monday... no, joking, sorry XD

Anyway. My life once again sucks. Blah.

holy shit

so... on saturday my laptop got completely crashed by a very very mean virus. It pretended to be the police putting my system under a lockdown, because I supposedly downloaded childs pornography and sent terroristic emails and the lockdown will only be lifted if I pay 100€.

Yeahhhhh, suuuuure.

So, unfortunately nothing worked... and my dissertation was on that laptop... I had a small break down when I realized it might be lost XD

Had the brilliant idea of starting in safe mode and saving all my stuff, including gazillion MB of Mishaness. oh and my dissertation of course XD

And since then I'm busy with restoring everything to its previous state. Srsly, I never realised how many booksmarks I had until I lost them all. fuck. From now on I use delicious and google bookmarks to prevent it from happening again. I feel so damn naked without all my million bookmarks LOL

Not to speak of all the programs I have to download again... the stuff I had accumulated over the years is fucking insane XD

This actually keeps me from buying a new laptop soon as I had planned. doing all this again? not in this year XD

I know I know, it's not a report and before you all kill me I give you something XD Here are all my photo ops :)

okay guys - I'm back from Asylum Europe 2 and I really really try to be quick with my report, but there's so much stuff I have to do for RL that I don't know when I'll be able to write it.

And I totally lied about the millions of pics, because BOTH of my cameras weren't able to do decent pics of the panels so I don't have those - only the stuff that was all around. So I apologise in advance for that. I'll ask my friends if I can take some of their pics, because some of them were front row seating and had the best view XD

I'm already on my way to the con blues, but I try to fight it off as long as possible XD

In the mean time: VOTE FOR DEAN/CAS!

hey all!

Just wanted to tell you that I'm back from my Easter Holiday at my parent's place. I mean not that I told you I'd be gone for so long, but anyway XD

Had some awesome days with brilliant weather and I really needed the time away from uni to relax and get back to my cheery self (*snorts*). Missed Supernatural, but caught up right away on saturday.

I loved the ep! Cowboys FTW!!

It was really good to see Sam and Dean goof around so much and Dean was like a little boy in the sweets shop :D It was so good to see them like that, without tension and bad undercurrents. The "Posse-Moment" on the graveyard totally sets me off every time LOL

I was sad to see Rachel go after what? 2min screentime? She got promotion as if she'd be a recurring character for the last eps instead of getting offed so fast.

and I'm positive now that Cas won't turn bad on the Winchesters. He's fighting a war and nobody stays all good and clean in such times. My poor bb. I hope he gets through all this as good as possible. I think now that they showed us how souls can be used as a "charger" and what ways Cas was ready to go to get more souls I'd say that's his dirty little secret, right?

Colt was awesome. I loved him. And cudos to him to figure out Sam's adress from the mobile phone XD

and whumped!Cas... guh, there's nothing better *coughs* Just wanted to comfort him XD

oh and

One thing less to cry over at the day of the finale LOL

I guess everyone has heard by now about Misha's project for Haiti? This night he sent a letter to everyone who's part of the team.

Dear Awesome Person,

Thank you so much for joining in our Random Acts fundraiser. You, as the salutation above indicates, are an awesome person. I am both moved and impressed that so many of you have become part of our team. We are going to use the money we raise to build a community center in Haiti, to send some aid to Japan, and to continue funding Random Acts in the coming year. As you know, this is a unique opportunity to be a part of the adventure and to be a hands-on participant in helping build a community center in Jacmel, Haiti.

So far, the fundraising is going great. You guys are getting creative, throwing parties, hosting auctions, doing car washes, hitting up your friends and relatives, selling your family heirlooms, pimping out your siblings, whatever it takes. Keep it up!

It is not too late for people to join the campaign, so if you have friends who you think might like to be a part of this, point them in the right direction and get them started too!

As you know, those who raise $5000 or more on their Hope to Haiti Crowdrise page are going to be invited to join us in Jacmel. But we want to make the fundraising process exciting, so we're throwing a few curve-balls your way:

Curve Ball #1

Anyone who raises $1000 will have a ticket with their name on it thrown in a hat for a raffle. Every $1000 you raise gets you another ticket in the hat. $1000 = 1 ticket, $3000 = 3 tickets, $2,890,000 = 2,890 tickets, etc. On May 25, 2011, we will draw one ticket out of the hat, and if your name is on the ticket, we will invite you to join us in Haiti and we will cover your travel and lodging costs so the trip will be 100% free for you.

Curve Ball #2

Anyone who raises over $1000 will automatically receive the following: A mix CD with some of my favorite songs on it, one of my favorite novels with a personal thank-you note written inside, and a signed piece of Random Acts swag.

Curve Ball #3

Who ever raises the absolute mostest on their Crowdrise page, morer even than anyone, whoever has gotten biggerest number of dollars donated will get my iPad and I'll also send you box of homemade fortune cookies and I will write real future-telling fortunes for you and put them inside.

Thank you so much for being a part of our organization. It means the world to me and it will make a real difference in the lives of people who need our help. This is a crazy time in the world; wars and natural disasters seem to be popping up daily. Poverty and inequality are everywhere you look. Rather than throwing our hands up in despair, let’s get together and do what we can. Every little action of kindness or care we take in our lives, every chance we take to spread a little joy or happiness, makes a difference to someone else.

Thank you so much,

Misha Collins
On that note I really should come out and pimp my own donation page, which I might have forgotten... I only used it to donate money. I wasn't thinking straight I guess. Every Dollar is needed. So if you can spare a few of those...donate here: or just join the team yourself.

it's not a spoilery pic, because you can't see anything going on, but I'm putting it behind a cut, so everyone can decide for oneself to look at it :)

credit goes to the awesome [ profile] uliamos who decided to make a trip to Vancouver and found out where the hell they are shooting XD

I'm sitting in front of the tv since yesterday morning. And for me this is not just another catastrophe like New Zealand or Haiti or whatever - this is fucking personal because my friend [ profile] ameshinju lives RIGHT THERE! Her neighbour town was hit very hard and is destroyed completey and I'm so damn glad that I was able to contact her afterwards. I know she was okay until a few hours ago.

The fact that now there's a nuclear meltdown on top of everything doesn't exactly manage to calm me the fuck down.
salyiha: (Default)
So Misha's Rhino Hunt is officially over - sadly I'm not in the winning team, but it was funny as hell and I met awesome people :)

Here's Misha's officially offical mail :)

and so the journey goes on...  )
salyiha: (Tempt the heavens)

and imagine when they announce sebastion roche... I want a double panel with Misha and Seb... XD

Now I will definitely move heaven and hell to go to this convention. nothing will stop me.

I will meet all these amazing people again.
